About

Chris Luk is a full time independent photographer living in Hong Kong with over 10 years photography experience. Chris is a self-taught photographer but also received proper training in dark room and studio. He also attended photography courses at Central Saint Martin College in London and spent number of years working with different art directors, stylists, hair stylists and make-up artists for fashion photo shoots in Hong Kong and overseas. In 2012, he had his first solo-exhibition titled “Alone Together” at Haji Gallery in Hong Kong and published a book with the same title. In 2014, he exhibited his work with three other artists at Voxfire Gallery in Hong Kong under the exhibition “Hotspots”.

Chris currently provides photography services to corporate clients and creative agencies ranging from food, fashion, portraits, and events. He also works as a contributing photographer for HK Magazine, Dairizi, Gafencu Men, Tartarus Magazine (New York), Fashion Shift Magazine and other publications. He is also a member at HKPPN (Hong Kong Professional Photographers Network).

At his leisure, he spent his time doing street photography and landscape works.

Chris’s works always begin with concepts and ideas before the shoot. His intention is to create images that express the emotion and idea to communicate with the audience like other forms of art. In his event and wedding photos, they resemble a journalistic style that not only document the event naturally but his willingness to see and compose the beauty in an unusual perspective has been his approach to offer endless dimension. It is this energy of creativity that helps him to continue to explore (wild ideas) with a touch of zen in mind. WILD at HEART. ZEN in MIND.
